  • Photo: Our class takes a ferry ride at 6 am to the Island of Aero in Denmark to discover that the entire island is completely energy independent with both Solar and Wind energy
  • Photo: Our class touring one of the districts in Malmo. Stumbled upon the yellow brick road, literally.
  • Photo: The two halves that make up contemporary Berlin.
  • Photo: a peep of france
  • Photo: la tour eiffel
  • Photo: The view from a castle in Córdoba province, about 20 minutes outside Córdoba city. From the top of the castle walls you have a 360 degree view of the pueblo below, and of the surrounding area, including of the main transportation route, el guadalquivir. The vast skies and rolling hills are only partially captured in this shot.
  • Photo: Venice serenity at sundown

  • Photo: This sums up the city of Perth for me. I often went out on the Swan River in kayaks, and it was mornings like this that I cherish. There is the sun rising over the city; Kings Park, a jewel of urban bushland; iconic black swans on the river I love so much.
  • Photo: I spent most of the day hiking Bluff Knoll in the Stirling Ranges and was sad to leave them. I drove down a random road and turned to look at the mountain once more in the fading light. This image with the eucalypts against the mountain at dusk speaks Australia to me.
  • Photo: I had been watching whales by myself all afternoon and was heading back to the car when I noticed the reflection of the sunset on St. Mary Inlet, part of a river that runs into the Southern Ocean. This concluded a beautiful afternoon of solitude and peace.
  • Photo: These orchids had opened one in front of the other, and I liked the unusual arrangement. It seemed to be flowers playing with symmetry--to anthropomorphize a bit. This was on a hike up a solid granite dome with plants scattered in depressions.
  • Photo: The Grand Canal rich with gondolas and water taxis
  • Photo: sunset on Table Mountain, peering over the edge.
  • Photo: zebra in Krueger National Park in South Africa just outside Johannesburg
  • Photo: Cuban style!
  • Photo: In 5 seconds or less: potential picture of a sitting bird, a scream, flying, and a picture of a flying bird instead
  • Photo: This photo was taken on the beach of San Sebastian. A bird just happened to fly right in on the picture as I was trying to capture the beach front scene.
  • Photo: This picture was taken in the Tuileries, outside the Louvre in Paris, France. My friend came to visit me there before we both went to Germany for the summer abroad.
  • Photo: View from a horse on beach at sunset.

  • Photo: I took this picture in order to document the compact urban structure of Stockholm. Increased density and multi-use are examples of sustainable design. In this photo, there are multiple levels of activity that allow for mixed use. For example, the level under the traffic is where grocery stores could be found. Above are transportation routes and businesses.
  • Photo: This is a photo of a monument placed at the center of a traffic roundabout.
  • Photo: This photo was taken just after one of the many rains my class experienced during our stay in Stockholm. The boat pictured is the hostel where we were staying.
  • Photo: Bench at Parc Güell by Antoni Gaudí.
  • Photo: Berliner Dom and Fernsehturm
  • Photo: As Aggies we were unable to resist a bike ride along the old farm roads that wove around the smallest of the Aran Islands.
  • Photo: The Biodome of Montreal is at the site of the 1976 Olympics that was held in Montreal, Quebec. It reflects the Olympic stadium and flags from around the world.
  • Photo: Birds flying around a rainbow cast over a section of Iguazu falls.
  • Photo: Taken from a lighthouse: The sun sets over the Atlantic, a boat sails by, two birds fly over, and my travels in South American come to an end.
  • Photo: The air in China is not bad at all!
  • Photo: Tower Bridge at sunset.
